General rules
Fishing with worms or other natural bait is not permitted in flowing water in the association’s
waters upstream of the bridge at Tväredet, or in the Tvärån water system.
If several anglers are at the same place, newly-arrived anglers shall begin angling upstream
and then work their way downstream. Angling is done by the principle one cast, one step.
So it is not permissible to occupy an angling spot. This applies to everyone, both spinners
and flyfishers. Remember that everyone who holds a fishing permit has an equal right to fish.
It is not permissible to use lead or other weights when fishing; for example, fishing with a
spin-fly is not allowed.
Boat fishing is allowed only on stretches downstream from the Tväredet bridge to the confluence
with the Kalix River. When boat fishing, a maximum of one rod per person is allowed.
Children aged under 16 fish for free.
Grayling
Fishing for grayling is forbidden between 1 March and 31 May.
The minimum dimension is 35 cm.
A maximum of four grayling per angler per day may be kept.
Salmon
Fishing for salmon is permitted from 1 June to 31 August.
The minimum dimension is 50 cm.
During the period 1 June up to and including 31 July, each angler may kill a maximum of one
salmon per day. During the period 1 August up to and including 31 August, no salmon may be
killed and all salmon caught must be immediately put back in the water.
Trout
There is a total ban on catching trout for the whole of 2010. (To protect the weak stocks of trout)
